Mothering Is a Practice, It Can Be Learned

Master in Editorial Design Final Project

2026

Based on the reflection on the long-standing (mothering) practice performed by (women), this book aims to explore (other) forms of mothering
in the contemporary context.

The design treats holding as the smallest unit of mothering. Inspired by the gesture of holding a book, the layout uses narrow margins and dense compositions to foreground the space where the reader's fingers rest. This space shifts with the rhythm of the text and images, generating a fluid layout system that continually draws attention to the act of holding.

Input / Output

Magazine - 3 Issues / Communication beyond language. In-between (un)known systems

Input / Output looks at love beyond language. It traces connections between different systems (people, living beings, objects, technologies) and things that might not even exist. It moves away from fixed definitions and human-centered ways of thinking and instead asks how love shows up when words don't exist. I/O talks about a space somewhere [in-between] the familiar and the unknown.

(03-04) Exhibition at  Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Florencio de la Fuente.
Huete, Spain

These projects were done during my research and work at the 3 Month Artist Residency at LEA - Lab of Experimental Art in Madrid, Spain.

During this residency, I deeply explored ephemerality and texture through the memory of a touch (caricia). I investigated the dualities of rigidity and softness, using metal as a symbol of transformation. Through my work, I reflect on memory, gesture, and the fragmentary nature of time, capturing the sensation of presence and absence.

Awarded Grant Creative Research Residency

Analog and Digital Photography

2024

1 Month Awarded Grant at Entorns Artist Residency at the Catalan Pyrenees in collaboration with A cobert Residency.

My work explores the fragility of memory and the passage of time, blending analog and digital techniques and incorporating error as an essential part of the creative process.

During my residency at Entorns, I investigated memory and identity through experimental photography capturing women's memoirs and hands interacting with traditional objects. These images reveal the deep emotional connection with the past and the history of the village of Mussa.

This grant was made possible thanks to the support of the Institute of Women in Spain.
